Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0

Samsung has announced a 8 inch tablet codenamed Galaxy Note 8.0. It is device which comes in between the 5.5 inch Galaxy Note II and Galaxy 10.1 tablet. It is a direct counter attack to Apple’s iPad Mini.

Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 features a display with a screen resolution of 1280×800 which is approximately 189 ppi (pixels per inch) which is slightly higher than iPad Mini. The tablet is powered by a Exynos 4 Quad 4412 chipset which is clocked at 1.6 Ghz. It makes use of ARM Cortex A9 CPU architecture and for graphics it uses Mali 400MP4 GPU. 2GB RAM is also embedded inside the tablet.

Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 comes with two storage options i.e. 32GB and 64GB. It also supports a micro SD Card. So the total storage can be increased. The rear camera is 5 megapixel while the front camera is 1.3 megapixel. The rear camera is capable of shooting 1080p videos at 30 fps.

In the connectivity department the tablet supports Wi-fi a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and NFC. The tablet also features the S Pen and has a total of 1024 pressure points. The tablet runs Android 4.1.2 and has a battery with a total capacity of 4600 mAh.
