Snapdragon 600 Processor

Before every product launch, the device usually gets leaked. But this time its a breaking news. It is said that Samsung will ditch its own AMOLED display and Exynos processor.

Samsung is expected to go with LCD3 for display in Galaxy S IV just like HTC One. It is said that Samsung is facing issues while manufacturing full HD AMOLED displays in their factory. It is also expected that Galaxy S IV will feature a Snapdragon 600 processor clocked at 1.9 Ghz which is just 0.2 Ghz more than HTC One. It is said that the switch to a different processor was done due to over heating issues with the Exynos processor.

Qualcomm will earn a good amount of revenue if this rumour turns out to be true. It is a nice sign that Samsung is switching to LCD as the AMOLED display gives over saturated colors.

The Samsung Galaxy S IV is expected to have 4.99 inch display with screen resolution of 1920×1080. The smartphone is expected to have 2GB of RAM. It will also sport a 13 megapixel rear camera and 2 megapixel front camera. It will run Android 4.2 and latest version of TochWiz.
