Sony Xperia Z Coming To India On March 6th, 2013

Sony unveiled its flagship device Xperia Z this year at CES. Today Sony Mobile India has updated their cover photo of facebook page with Xperia Z in background and 06/03/2013 on top of it, with a small tagline which says Everything is about to change.
The news about Xperia Z launch in India was all over the internet. But now it is confirmed. Sony seems to be very quick in rolling out their devices. It is a clear indication that it wants to capture the market share. With Samsung Galaxy S IV to be unveiled on March 14th, 2013, it will take at least 1 month to launch in India. Only thing is how powerful will S IV be and whether it can compete with Xperia Z?
Even HTC unveiled its flagship last month but has not launched it yet. Sony wants to take the advantage this time. But the question is will it succeed?
Xperia Z has a 5 inch display with screen resolution of 1920×1080. It is powered by quad core 1.5Ghz Krait CPU and Adreno 320 GPU which is embedded inside the Qualcomm Snapdragon APQ8064 SoC chip. The smartphone also comes in with 2GB of RAM and built in storage of 16GB which can be expanded to 32GB via micro SD card slot. The device comes with a 13 megapixel rear camera with XMOS sensor and 2.2 megapixel front camera. The rear camera can shoot at 1080p while front camera can shoot at 720p. The phone comes with a 2300 mAh long battery and the device will run Android 4.1.
HTC Butterfly is priced at ₹45,990. Sony Xperia Z will also be priced some where around ₹40,000.
