Samsung Galaxy S IV Rumour Roundup
0We have seen Sony and HTC show off their flagship Android devices. Now its Samsung’s turn to showcase what it has for the users. Samsung Galaxy S IV will be unveiled on March 14th, 2013 at New York. But as usual numerous leaks have happened which reveal almost everything about the Samsung Galaxy S IV. So let’s begin the rumour roundup.
Specifications
Few days ago Samsung Galaxy S IV specifications got leaked through AnTuTu benchmark software. The benchmark results say that Galaxy S IV will have a 4.99 inch display with resolution of 1920×1080. It will be powered by Exynos 5 Octa 5410 chipset clocked at 1.8Ghz. The smartphone will have 2GB RAM and PowerVR SGX 544MP GPU. The device will sport a 13 megapixel rear camera and 2.1 megapixel front camera. The mobile phone will run on Android 4.2, Jelly Bean. The device will come in two variants 16GB and 32GB. Shockingly the result also says that Galaxy S IV will support 2G/3G/4G networks. It was earlier said that Samsung will use Qualcomm chip instead of Exynos due LTE support issues and over heating problems. It seems that Samsung has overcome those issues. The AnTuTu benchmark results gave Galaxy S IV an overall score of 24,894 which is the highest compared to any Android smartphone.
Design
We reported that the Galaxy S IV design had been leaked about a month ago. New images of the device seem to be exactly similar to the ones we posted a month ago. It seems Galaxy S IV will still use a plastic back which is way inferior to the build quality of Apple iPhone 5 and Sony Xperia Z.
Software
The smartphone will run latest version of TouchWiz on Android 4.2. Some new additional features which are rumoured are Smart Pause and Smart Scroll. We posted yesterday that Samsung Galaxy S IV might use uMoove technology for scrolling with eyes. Its still unconfirmed but the screenshots of settings menu says it all.
