At GDC 2013 (Game Developer Conference), a 17 minute long gameplay trailer of Battlefield 4 was played. In the process AMD admitted that it was being played on their latest graphic card i.e. Radeon HD 7990.
Radeon HD 7990 includes two GPU’s of Radeon HD 7970. AMD did not reveal all the specifications. AMD also said it is the world’s fastest graphic card. However the geeks at AnandTech, have been able to get some more information about the graphic card. According to AnandTech, AMD has used open air cooler instead of blower. This will improve performance but will need breeze to push the hot air out. The power delivery system is also different. We cannot comment on the design until we it is launched. The power consumption will be not more than 375W. VRM circuitry has been used.
AMD has planned Tahiti for Q4. NVIDIA has provided stiff competition to AMD. With NVIDIA GeForce GTX 690 already unveiled, AMD is not late to the party. But time will tell whether AMD Radeon HD 7990 is the fastest or not. We will keep you updated with latest information about the graphic card.
